Introspection

Last Friday
Briggle told me
One of the best things about me
Is my ability to be introspective
And it’s interesting
Since I never gave it much thought
But now I agree with him
And he distinctly mentioned my mode
He knows what my poetry means to me
He says he reads them
But if he kept up with them
He’d realize how loose my stitches are
And he seems to think I’m more together than I am
Yet it is my poetry that keeps me
Whatever amount of wholeness I’m able to achieve
And I’ll quote Hedwig
Because I always quote Hedwig
“This is the best way that I’ve found
To be the best you’ve ever seen"
