I Should See A Third Doctor About All This

I thought of this
While walking home
At 1:00 AM
Doing deep breathing exercises
In order to keep myself from vomiting-

I would much rather have an Angry Inch
Than have to forevermore deal with my stomach
Being the awful way it is

Because it’s no way to live
Walking down the streets of a place you love
Singing the songs you love
On a day spent celebrating love
Yet being only being able to think
Of ways to prolong the time until you throw up
And wish you could cut your own stomach out
Because then it wouldn’t have to behave this way
Because it would be gone
Sold away to some sketchy organ trafficker
For money you could use to see Broadway shows

And I know one doesn’t get to choose
What their bodily difficulties will be

But if my physical situation were that of Hedwig’s
I know I’d at least be able to eat:
Salad
Milky Ways
Tomatoes
Necco Wafers
Poprocks
and of course Gummy-bears

And that’d be better
Than being unable to even stomach fucking soup
